How to Buy Bulk Tunisian Olive Oil: 5 Steps

Buying bulk olive oil from Tunisia is straightforward when the process is clear. Here are the five steps we follow with every buyer, from the first enquiry to recurring container shipments.

Step 1: Share your specification

Tell us the volume, olive oil grade, packaging format and certifications you need. We accept orders from 5 metric tonne trial lots, suitable for quality evaluation and lab testing, up to full multi-container season contracts.

Step 2: Evaluate blind samples with lab certificates

We send coded (blind) samples from 2–3 matched producers so you can judge quality, aroma and taste without supplier bias. Each sample ships with its Certificate of Analysis, which covers free acidity, peroxide value, UV absorption coefficients (K232, K270, ΔK), fatty acid profile, wax content and organoleptic assessment, tested by accredited independent laboratories to IOC and EU Regulation 2022/2104 standards.

Step 3: Choose your lot and agree the terms

You only learn the producer’s identity after selecting your preferred lot. We then negotiate price, grade, origin and delivery terms for you.

Step 4: Sign two clear contracts

As a commission broker we do not buy or sell oil ourselves. One contract with the producer guarantees quality and delivery; one with you guarantees transparent pricing, Certificate of Analysis delivery and communication through us. Incoterms 2020 available: FOB (Port of Sfax or Tunis), CIF or DDP to your destination port.

Step 5: Packaging, documents and shipping

Packaging options include flexitanks (about 22,000 litres, roughly 20 metric tonnes, per 20ft container), IBC totes of 1,000 litres, steel or HDPE drums of 200 litres, and private-label glass bottles or tins from 250 ml to 5 litres. Standard export documents are the EUR.1 movement certificate, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin and commercial invoice. Certifications such as EU Organic, USDA Organic, Kosher, Halal and GlobalG.A.P. are available depending on the producer.
